VAT Rev. Charge for Headless is a Shopify app published by Mònade srl. This page explains which data the app handles.
Data the app stores
- The Shopify session of the shops that install the app (shop domain and access token), needed to call the Shopify Admin API on the merchant's behalf.
- The app configuration (home country, VAT rates, discount titles, signing secret), stored in the shop's own Shopify data, on the discount the app creates.
Data the app does not store
The app does not collect or store personal data of buyers. The VAT number in the cart token is read by the discount function while Shopify computes the cart and is not kept by the app. The app does not access customer or order records.
Deletion
When a merchant uninstalls the app, its session is deleted; Shopify then asks the app to erase the shop's data, and the app deletes anything left. The configuration lives in the shop's own Shopify data and is removed with the discount.
